Microsoft Outlook 2007 is designed for users who are keen to extend their understanding and knowledge of the software.
Microsoft Outlook 2007 assumes little or no knowledge of the software. However, it would be beneficial to have a general understanding of personal computers and the Windows operating system environment.
The course focuses on practical work within the product giving learners ample opportunity to use their PC skills through a series of graded exercises.

At completion of the workshop, participants will be able to: • start Outlook 2007 and navigate around the various features • create and send e-mail messages • receive e-mails into your Inbox • competently work with file and item attachments within e-mail messages • format email messages and use special features to control how emails work • search for Outlook items that match your search criteria • organise and locate your email messages • group and organise Outlook items by colour category • set reminders on your messages using follow-up flags • use standard and custom views to control how information is displayed in your Outlook folders • manage your mail items using rules that activate when a certain type of message is sent or received • work with and manipulate text in e-mail messages • take control of unsolicited and unwanted e-mails sent to you • better understand spamming, viruses, and the like and the benefits of email. • send automatic responses to incoming mail when you are out of the office • work with the calendar feature in Outlook 2007 • schedule appointments and events in your calendar • schedule meetings using Microsoft Outlook • add, edit, find and manage Contacts • monitor and manage your contacts within Outlook • create and work with task requests • share or delegate your Outlook folders with other users
